Le scelte dei concorrenti sono cadute su "Love you inside out" e "How can you mend a broken heart" da parte di Melinda Doolittle, "You should be dancing" e "This is where I came in" di Blake Lewis, "To love somebody" e "Woman in love" di Jordin Sparks e "Stayin'alive" e "Run to me" di Lakisha Jones.

produced & directed by Victory Tischler-Blue
For the first time since the release of Saturday Night Fever almost 30 years ago, Barry and Robin Gibb collaborate on an extremely personal, visceral journey back to the legendary Chateau D’Herouville Studios (aka Honky Chateau) outside Paris, where they, along with their brother Maurice, recorded the songs which ended up becoming the highest grossing motion picture soundtrack in music history, created a worldwide pop culture phenomenon and twisted their lives inside out.
Inter-cut with interviews and personal anecdotes from some of the world's most notable performers - each revealing the profound influence and affect the Bee Gees’ music has had on their lives and careers.
Also featured is bonus footage of the Barry and Robin Gibb performing raw unplugged versions of “Stayin’ Alive”, “Night Fever”, “Jive Talkin”, How Deep Is Your Love” and “More Than A Woman”.

"Gibb to rebuild near burned Cash home"
Barry Gibb, the former Bee Gee who bought the house that Johnny Cash and his wife, June Carter Cash, lived in for decades before their deaths in 2003, said on Monday he plans to build a new home near where the house stood before burning down last week.
"Linda (Gibb's wife) and I have decided to build our own home on the higher ground surrounding the Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash home and the original foundations shall be kept in tact and preserved for the people of Hendersonville and the people of Nashville, " Gibb said in a statement.
The lakeside home in Hendersonville, a suburb about 20 miles northeast of Nashville, was destroyed by fire last Tuesday. There was almost nothing left except stone chimneys. The Cashes moved into the 13,880-square-foot home in the late 1960s. Johnny Cash wrote much of his famous music there, where the couple also entertained U.S. presidents, music royalty and visiting fans.
Gibb purchased the home in 2006 and had hoped to remodel it and eventually write songs there with his wife. Gibb said the land where the Cash house once stood is "sacred" and "must be protected forever." "To the Cash Carter families we owe the highest respect and the deepest regret that our dream could not be realized. Now there is a new dream for us and a new beginning," he said.
Fire investigators say they know the cause of the fire, but have not yet released it. Investigators believe the flames spread quickly because construction workers had recently applied a flammable wood preservative to the exterior of the house. The preservative was also being applied inside the house.
"Linda and I have decided to build our own home on the higher ground surrounding the Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash home, and the original foundations shall be kept intact and preserved for the people of Hendersonville and the people of Nashville. This land is sacred land to all of us here and must be protected forever. To the [Cash and Carter] families, we owe the highest respect and the deepest regret that our dream could not be realized. Now there is a new dream for us and a new beginning."

From: "Tennessean.com" :
"Let's support the Gibbs, encourage them to keep a house here"
While the media has reflected on the loss suffered by the family of Johnny and June Carter Cash this week after their former Hendersonville home burned, we also need to keep Barry and Linda Gibb and their five children in our thoughts.
While the fire destroyed the Cashes' past, it also wiped out some of the Gibbs' personal and creative dreams. This property was going to serve as the Miami-based family's second home. "I would like to come here and write songs," Barry told me in December. "I am planning on making a country album. That is really who I am."
After Johnny died in 2003, many feared the buyer of the Cash home would dismantle it or disrespect the physical or spiritual aspects of the home that held gatherings attended by Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney and Billy Graham. There was a sigh of relief when word broke that the new owner would be Barry, so respected here by songwriters.
"Do you realize how many hit songs have been written in that 4- or 5-acre area, including Roy Orbison next door?" he said. "The inspiration, being surrounded by the musical atmosphere that has been there for 35 years, we just had to do it."
He vowed to preserve it, honor the Cashes' memory and "bring it back to its original pristine condition." His respect of the property, and his love of the musical roots, went beyond what many dared to even hope.
The Gibbs are now members of our community — and two people who have made positive contributions here — and we need to support them in any way possible. My hope is that they won't give up on Middle Tennessee and instead will decide to either rebuild on that location or purchase another home here. Our city is better with them in it.

As previously reported, Robin Gibb took part to Globe Energy Awards 2007. It was the occasion for a brief interview.
What can an individual do to change the course of the world?
"One person can change the way many people think. Sometimes one voice can be enough to break others out of their mindsets, that there's nothing they can do".
You presented the best youth project today. How important is it to bring the issue to the younger generation?
"It is very important to get young people involved, because they are the society tomorrow. Getting them as early as possible is what counts. That is my mission: to get young people involved".
Do you see yourself as a role model?
"I like to see myself as a role model. I like to be a particle, a beginning for change, a source for inspiration".
Can music be a power for a new industrial revolution towards cleaner energy?
"Music can move a lot, but it is not enough. People have to remember the message and then live with it. But they should make sure they hold onto the message. And here I am talking especially again about young people. The young people are the future".
Have you ever performed in a Parliament before?
"Yes, in Moscow"
How did you enjoy performing in the European Parliament?
"Great, it was very nice. I liked the event. It produces a positive effect, I'm proud to be part of it; it's an ongoing thing, a part of a massive jigsaw".

Barry Gibb holds wake for Johnny’s home
Barry Gibb got to town today to survey devastation a fire did to the old Johnny Cash home Gibb bought. The former Bee Gee paid some $2.3 million for the 13,880-square-foot Hendersonville home that Johnny and June Carter Cash shared for more than 30 years. A fire destroyed it Tuesday. Tonight, Barry held an impromptu wake at The Palm restaurant in downtown Nashville. Among those there: Cash neighbors Marty Stuart and Connie Smith, the Oak Ridge Boys, T.G. Shepperd and Ricky Skaggs. During the gathering, The Palm surprised Gibb with a signature caricature — right next to that of Johnny Cash. Barry declined to talk, saying the focus should be on the Cash family and its loss and not on him.Source: Music City TV

For the first time a TV-Show takes place at and is broadcast from the European Parliament in Brussels. Reason for this “miracle”: the ENERGY GLOBE Award. 732 projects from 96 countries were submitted in the categories Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth. Under the Chairmanship of Maneka Ghandi, an Indian environmentalist and politician, the international Jury awarded the following projects:
Category Earth: John Maina from Kenya for implementing solar energy ovens for drying vegetables and fruits. Thus local farmers are able to increase their harvest by 50% without harming the environment.
Category Fire: The UNEP Risoe Center and the Risoe National Laboratory Denmark for launching a four-year plan for establishing over 16000 solar homes in India together with Danish support and local Indian funding.
Category Water: Jerry M. Brownstein for developing a very effective waste water treatment, using a special water filter, made of recycled plastics for gaining drinking water from waste water.
Category Air: Reindert Augustijn for inventing small Biogas plants helping to reduce annual CO2 emissions up to 54000 tons and role models for another 150000 plants.
Category Youth: University of Art/Linz for inventing a new solar passive house in South Africa, which is able to provide an indoor temperature level of 20 degrees independently from outdoor temperature using a natural air condition system.
National Award: Goes to the host country Belgium for sensitively changing a historical old private house into an energy saving building.
ENERGY GLOBE Founder Wolfgang Neumann: The awarded projects are excellent role models to the whole world! If we don’t blame others and start taking action, all goals to protect the environment are within reach!
The environmentalist is supported by celebrities from all over the world: Hollywood-star Martin Sheen, film director Emilio Estevez, author and Waris Dirie, pop singer Robin Gibb, star violinist Nigel Kennedy, the Indian environmentalist Maneka Ganddi and the President of the European Parliament Mr. Hans-Gert Poettering.

"Fire Destroys Johnny Cash's Hendersonville Home"
HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - The house of the late country music legend Johnny Cash has burned to the ground.
The fire started shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday. The home was sold for $2.3 million in January 2006 to a corporation owned by Barry Gibb, vocalist for the Bee Gees.
Gibb purchased the home and planned to restore it. The house caught fire during part of the construction process, and was caused by a flammable spray sealer.
"They were using some type of wood preservative inside the house," said Hendersonville Fire Chief Jamie H. Steele. "The last few days they had it outside the house and then something ignited it and we had fire pretty much from one end to the other."
Gibb was going to move into the house in July. It was not known on whether he would rebuild or sell the property.
The home is located in Hendersonville on Old Hickory Lake.
Cash died in September 2003 at the age of 71. His wife, June Carter Cash, died in May 2003 at the age of 73. Both were buried in the Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
The late Johnny Cash moved into the home on Caudill Drive in Hendersonville in 1968. On a tour of the Cash home in 2005, NewsChannel 5 got to see inside the home.
The Cash lakefront property was visited by U.S. presidents and fans. The home was nearly 14,000 square feet and had seven bedrooms and five bathrooms.
It will always be known as a part of country music history, said neighbor and country star Marty Stuart. "It's not only a piece of my heart and soul and my family's and this community's, but it's also a piece of American culture gone too," Stuart said.
Cash taped his music video "Hurt" inside the home, and won best video of the year from both the Grammys and the CMAs.
There were no injuries in the fire.
